Buyer’s guide
Third-party grading companies evaluate card condition and encapsulate graded cards in protective holders.
Grades are assigned by the independent grading company named on each card’s label — not by CollectorBase. Every listing shows the grader and grade, with photos of the front and back of the holder.
PSA grades cards on a 1–10 scale.
Gem Mint
A virtually perfect card: sharp corners, full original gloss and no staining, with centering within PSA’s tolerance.
Mint
A superb card that allows one minor flaw, such as a slight printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders.
Near Mint–Mint
A high-end card that looks Mint at first glance but may show a very slight flaw on close inspection.
Beckett Grading Services (BGS) uses a 1–10 scale in half-point steps and typically shows four subgrades on the label: centering, corners, edges and surface.
Gem Mint
A near-perfect card across the four subgrades.
Mint
A high-quality card with only minor imperfections in one or more subgrades.
Near Mint–Mint+
A strong card with a few noticeable minor imperfections.
